EHN at ESEH 2023
We organized a hybrid session based on EHN's ongoing blog series on Problems of Place at this year’s ESEH conference in Bern, featuring graduate students and early career scholars who discussed the importance of community, connection, and belonging. We're grateful for Trang Dang, Knar Gavin, Kuhelika Ghosh, Ana Sekulić, Kate Stevens, and Ramya Swayamprakash for sharing their reflections in such honest, authentic ways. And a special shout-out to Ramya’s kiddo for showing off some dance moves!
A big thanks to everyone who showed up to our meetup. It was lovely to connect!

Team Updates
Anastasia Day will be moving on from their position as content editor. She has been part of the team since September 2019, and we're grateful for all the time and effort she has put into EHN. Wishing you all the best, Anastasia!
Starting this September, Bava Dharani will start out as our new content editor—and very excited to have her on the team!
My Environment Now: Ramya Swayamprakash
We asked Ramya, an Assistant Professor in Integrative, Religious, and Intercultural Studies at Grand Valley State University and EHN’s assistant executive editor, about her environment this month.
Habitat
Currently I’m in my cold office; I live in Grand Rapids, MI which is slowly seeing the seasons change, and I cannot complain about the colder mornings and pleasant evenings. Makes me hopeful that I will do all the writing I meant to, soon :)
Digging
A couple of things to be honest. I really enjoyed listening to Drafting the Past podcast, it gave me a lot of ideas about my own work. I really enjoyed reading Profit: An Environmental History.
Buds
I am looking forward to getting restarted on some writing that has been long pending. And rearranging my house for greater flow and white space, so my spring cleaning has been late-summer cleaning out.
